On my quest to find out how mommies make money from home, I’ve learned that there are quite a few mommies, like thousands of mommies, who make hundreds of dollars a month from blogging!
Now I’m definitely realistic and don’t think that is possible for all mommies, but why not just a few dollars to cover diapers and groceries for the month? A little side cash to put away for private school or family vacations?
So I took on the challenge and started to read as much as I could about setting up my own blog. I have the basics down now, and I want to share them with you! Because in the end I want all mommies who wish to stay at home with their children to be able to do so without adding financial stress onto their family.
A few weeks ago, I was lost and without a website, all I could think was, “Ugh! I’m so confused on this blogging thing. What is hosting? What’s a domain name? WordPress? Bluehost? There’s two Wordpress sites? A dot com and a dot org, what?” I was confused, but I figured out the essentials!
Paid vs Free Blog Hosting
There are basically two ways to create a blog, a free blog and a paid blog. They both offer fantastic benefits but if you are serious about making a bit of side cash with blogging, I definitely recommend going the paid route.
Personally, I learn best through visuals so I created the table and images below for you. Let me know if they are helpful!
