Again, we went to mass on Saturday instead of Sunday, so I really should be calling these posts “Our Third Weekend of Advent”. It’s a Catholic blog, I shouldn’t be lying! 🙂
Friday evening we had the deacon and his wife over for dinner. He blessed each and every room with Holy Water and it was beautiful. Little Sue slept for 14 hours until the next morning at 11:00 AM! She must have been having heavenly dreams as she has never slept that late before. Needless to say, there is now a standing open dinner invitation for the deacon.
Saturday we rested and enjoyed spending time together. We went to Saturday vigil mass and I forgot to bring milk for Sue. So she was a bit unhappy and kept John busy the entire mass. I soaked up a few minutes of quiet prayer time and asked for God’s blessing over the final weeks of my pregnancy.
I met with my doula during the week and she is a fantastic woman. I pray the birth will go smoothly and that I’ll be able to have a VBAC.
After mass we picked up pizzas and enjoyed an evening with our friends. No deep conversations could be had with 4 little girls running around and three tired pregnant mammas chasing them. I can’t even imagine how hectic it will be in six weeks when the 3 newborns are here!
Sunday was spent napping, relaxing and enjoying family time again. At the last minute we decided to drive to St. Augustine to see the lights and celebrate the Feast of St. Lucia.
Our two little girls.
Thankful and joyous on this Gaudete Sunday of Advent! We enjoyed wearing our pink too!
