I gained quite a few pounds during my last pregnancy but was lucky and happy to be back in my pre-pregnancy skinny jeans by 4 months postpartum. It didn’t take much effort but worked wonderfully! I plan to follow the same method after this pregnancy to be back in shape by the summer.
Here I am at 40 weeks pregnant and then again a few months after.
For the first three months all I did was breastfeed as much as possible! I co-slept with my baby so she frequently nursed at night and this helped my milk supply to stay strong and extra calories to be burned off.
After three months I replaced my lunch meal with a protein shake and I cut down on my snacking. This helped me shed the last 10 pounds and return to my pre-pregnancy weight!
The protein shakes were extremely filling and delicious. The whey protein I found on Amazon has no aftertaste and is free of artificial flavors, sweeteners and synthetic colors. I love it and mix it with a banana, a cup of milk, ice and PB2 – peanut butter without fat!
